Weekend Rewind

Ahh what a wonderful weekend! I just want to press rewind and do it all over again! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!

I just want to do a little picture recap of my weekend!

May 17th {our 9 year anniversary BTW}

We went to lunch at Smashburger...yum! 

When I got home from work, Bentley was so excited that he jumped up in the car with me!

On the way to dinner...all of a sudden I hear "A request from Andrew S**********, today is his 9 year anniversary with Lauren F*****! Here's a little Justin Timberlake Mirrors."

OMG

I am a person that hates being the center of attention, and I know it was only Andrew and I in the car, but I'm pretty sure my face still turned red! I was so happy, surprised and shocked all at the same time. The fact that I had no idea still amazes me...there were so many signs that I should have seen!

I'm ALL about Groupons and getting a deal! Taco Punk was our choice for dinner!

I had Maui Maui tacos {left} & Andrew got beef tacos {right} with of course, jalapenos. 

We ventured next door to the Louisville Beer Store..OMG so many to choose from! I was overwhelmed to say the least!

  

Came home to this! Flowers, wine, whiskey and two movies! Perfect night for me, the homebody! And yes, I am a girl you buy whiskey for! Deeee- Lish!

We watched Texas Chainsaw first, so we could end with a happy one! haha

Of course, we ended our night by having a cleaning party. The whole downstairs received a good scrubbin'!

UofL baseball had its last regular season game against Pittsburgh. Ended with a WIN 7-4!

After celebrating the title of the regular season Big East Champions...they took a moment for prayer.

So excited to start potting flowers!!

I worked at my second job all day Sunday, so I don't have much to show. 

The one productive thing I did was organize the cabinet in our bathroom. This is the before picture of my side of the cabinet. I will post this whole project tomorrow!

Ended my weekend with a Traffic Ticket. Grrrreeeaat. I ran a red light, but I had a good excuse. I had a bunch of stuff in my back seat {bought lots, I mean lots, of goodies at work} and I didn't want to slam on my breaks and it all come crashing forward on me, so I ran the red light. There.

Oh well, all in all, it was a fantastic weekend!!

Happy Anniversary!

May 17, 2004 is when it all started. I can see us now, standing in his apartment parking lot, leaning against my car, he's nervous. {Before I say this next line, may I remind you that we I was still in high school. Youngins I tell ya!} He's standing there looking at me... "Will you be my girl?" 

OMG he just asked me out! {YAY my heart yelled!}

Oooh, to be young again! No worries, no responsibilities, the goal was just to have fun!

9 years later we are still going strong! Don't get me wrong, we've had our UPs and DOWNs, no doubt. The fact that we WANT to work through it because we know we don't want to live without each other...that's what it's about. The partnership. The love. The friendship. The growth.

When something really amazing and important happens in your life...who do you call first? Just think about it or pay attention next time.

Florida and Non "Selfies"

This past week I was in Destin, Florida with my parents and boyfriend. {palm trees, sand between my toes, beer in hand, sun shining, waves crashing, wind blowing...all while sitting under an umbrella} ahhh....OK, let's come back to real life...If you've seen my Instagrams, I'm not much of a "selfie" taker. I like to take pictures of objects {food, architecture, interiors, my pups and flowers} I've never been a photogenic person [ask my mom, I'm sure she has stories!] I was always the one screaming, crying, running away or making a lovely angry face in everyone's pictures. Now that I'm older and more mature {HA}, I still find myself way more comfortable behind the camera, so of course, in Florida I found myself taking lots of "object" pictures.

Our room was super cute! Vaulted Ceilings with sun lights. Don't you just love the oars on the wall??

The beach! It was really windy the first couple of days & that's why they have the "wind blockers" {not sure of the real name for those}

These flowers were everywhere! It's like Florida's version of the daylily.

This is the Red Bar menu... If you ever go to Destin...this is the place to eat! SO GOOD! Literally this is their menu and they set it on your table for a few minutes to let you choose. Notice it says cash or check only, so be prepared! Also, a warning: this is a local favorite so it is extremely crowded! Live music, outside seating, lots of neat things to look at on the walls and ceilings. Oh, and they also have these lovely duct tape seats! HA

Anthropologie VS World Maket

If you have a desk job, you understand those times when you drift off into surfing the internet land. It happens to me way more often than it probably should. Shhh don't tell! I need some kind of entertainment while I'm at work! 

I just can't help but do this. I hate when two stores basically sell the same things and one marks up their prices dramatically! Here are some of the similar finds at two totally different prices! Anthropologie is on the left and World Market is on the right...you choose!
